Meet Melanie, a dedicated public servant, mother of three, proud grandmother of ten, and long-time Irondale resident. With nearly two decades of municipal court leadership—including my current role as Deputy Directory and Court Administration for the city of Birmingham—I have Built a career on innovation, accountability, and service. From launching programs that restore driver's licenses through financial literacy to making courts accessible, I have worked hard to make local government work better for everyone. I have also served on community boards, booster clubs, and neighborhood associations, earning the 2022 Irondale Chamber Community Contributor Award. I'm running for City Council because I believe District 5 deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers results—with integrity and heart. Let's build a stronger District 5,  together.
